Jack is a palaeobiology student at the University of Birmingham, and while fascinated with most aspects of palaeontology and by the natural world in general, he is particularly interested in reconstructing the life appearance, behaviour, and ecology of fossil vertebrates. Jack’s other love is art, and he has been producing palaeoart (art that aims to visually convey the scientific understanding of extinct life and environments) semi-professionally for several years now, and hopes that this experience with turning abstract fossil data into tangible representations of worlds long gone will provide a unique angle with which to approach palaeontological subjects in an easily understandable and entertaining fashion.
